Book on Watch Repair?
This may be a little odd, so bear with me! I'm planning on making some Steampunk type jewelry, which requires parts from watches. Since I'm not familiar with watches and many people sell the parts for a great deal of money, I was thinking of buying some watches (which is a much more cost-effective way of doing it) and taking them apart for the pieces.
Because of this I was wondering if anyone could suggest a book on watch repair so that I don't completely ruin the watch cases (or hurt myself) in the process.
I'd be working with older watches, possibly pocket watches as well, NOT digital ones.
Any help would be great, thanks!
If I were you I would go to a place that repairs watches and get someone to show you how to take them apart. Try a pawn shop.
