How do you get through New Moon, by Stephanie Meyer, with out Edward?

I am reading New Moon and am only on page 279. Edward left in like chapter 3 and i don't know how im supposed to finish reading the book with out Edward. Do any people have any suggestions to how i could be able to actually concentrate on the book until Edward gets back in Chapter 20. All i can think about is Edward when i read it.

i read it in two days to get through it.
the faster you read it, the faster you get to edweard, just keep thinking that maybe jacob will just end up dying on the next page, or edward may just show up. eventually he does come back in the boook.
i feel your pain. i dont like new moon. but you need it the books get better, eclipse it wicked, but you will fall in love eith breaking dawn.
