how to identify my grandfather clock maker and year.?

It is a very old heavy built grandfather clock. Has westiminster chimes and bongs too. It chimes the quater, half and forty-five marks with the chimes. then it chimes for the hour and then bongs the hour amount. We cant find any marking on the clock. Just made in germany and has the word tempus fugit on the top and then a word Tribbenesse on the face. Anyone out there that can help ??

Did you check the Movement for markings? They are usually on the back of the Mechanism inside. If you can take pictures of the Movement both the front and the back you can post them on the Message Board at NAWCC.ORG. That is the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. Many experts there.
